WJP Standard Conditions of Purchase

Your acceptance of a purchase order issued by Walter J. Pratt Pty. Ltd. (referred herein as WJP) is conditional upon the following items being complied with implicitly;

Item 1

All supplied items of equipment shall be provided with a 12 month on site warranty unless specified otherwise on the issued purchase order. The warranty period shall commence from the time of our commissioning and handover to our client and not from the date of delivery. The commencement date of the warranty period shall be recorded by WJP and may be provided to you if requested. The warranty shall cover for any equipment and/or system failure and shall be attended to by your company on site within 48 hours of being notified by WJP. Transport of any equipment required for repair shall be arranged and paid for by you. Warranty claims rejected by you on the grounds of operator failure, operating conditions contrary to manufacturers instructions, neglect etc. shall only be accepted when accompanied by a fully detailed written report explaining the nature of the failure and why the same is not classified as a warranty claim.

Item 2

4 No. sets of operating and maintenance instructions shall be provided for each individual item of equipment and/or system together with all warranty certificates. These instructions shall reference each individual item of equipment by name and duty. These instructions shall detail the operation of the equipment and/or operating system, the required maintenance for each individual item of equipment including spare part identification and required maintenance intervals. All operating and maintenance instructions shall be in the form of original copies (or good quality photocopies) and be forwarded with your invoice to WJP PO Box 412, Doncaster VIC 3108.

Item 3

Where factory testing/commissioning is undertaken by you, records of the same shall be provided with the operating and maintenance instructions specified in Item 2. Where testing/commissioning is undertaken on site by you, records of the same shall be provided within 48 hours to WJP. If during commissioning any item of equipment and/or system fails to meet the performance criteria specified, you will be required to rectify and/or replace the same until such time as the specified performance criteria is met. All certificates of compliance and/or regulatory documentation shall be provided to WJP.

Item 4

If operator training is required for the successful operation of the equipment and/or system, or if operator training is required to preserve any warranty conditions imposed by you, WJP shall be advised immediately of the same upon completion of commissioning.

Item 5

All equipment/items supplied by you must comply with the requirements of MP52 standards approval as necessary for installation in plumbing systems. All equipment/items supplied must also be approved for use by the Plumbing Industry Board and comply with the provisions of AS3500. Equipment/items supplied as a part of WJP water treatment plant works may be excluded from this requirement if specifically confirmed by WJP.

Item 6

The operating and maintenance instructions and warranty certificates as specified in Item 2 must be provided with your invoice. Payment will not be made until these documents are received. Payment terms will be in accordance with WJP creditor conditions (30 days from end of delivery month) or by prior agreement. All specific conditions listed on the issued purchase order shall also apply. Any contradictions between the issued purchase order and the items specified herein shall be immediately reported to the WJP order origininator for clarification.
